I don't know the construction of motorcycle tires well enough to claim this as gospel for them, but I do know that from car tires it's when the plug needs to be installed near the edges of the contact patch, or beyond it (tire walls), that plugs should not be used - at least not for long term. That's when belted damage has probably occurred and it could be dangerous.

But plugs in the main contact patch - good to go.

Anyone else have insight into plugging or the inner-construction near the corners of motorcycle tires?
