Well, when you ride the bike, do you spend more time at idle or with the engine running between 4-5K rpms?
I personally prefer the engine to run best where it runs most often.

An honest question Zei. Please excuse Dallera's response. Texans can be a bit touchy.

Then balanced the system with the Harmonizer, again first time and seemed very easy. My question - when I first started it up the bar stayed in the middle and when RPM's increased bar moved to the far right side. My understanding is that the bar should be adjusted to stay in the middle at between 2500-5000. So I adjusted the left side nut so that the bar pretty much stays in the middle between these RPM's. But when RPM's reduced to idle then bar is not off to the middle right side? Is this how it is supposed to be done? Which is more important... the bar in the middle at idle or the bar in the middle at higher RPM's?

Bike is a 2009 BMW RT with only 1900 miles. Sat in someone's garage for 2+ years and was never ridden. I bought it with 200 miles on it and the owner was nice enough to have the dealer do the 600 mile service before I picked it up. Any thoughts on what else I should do as far a maintenance goes?
Sounds normal for a bike that sat so long.

At idle balance is adjusted with the BBS (Big brass screws on the throttle body.), off idle, apx 3000 RPM the adjustment is made with the throttle cable adjustment at the throttle body.

Not on an R1200, there are no BBS on them.

Thanks for the inquiry,,
I am still uncertain about the timing of restarting production.
Currently there are too many variables to give a reasonably accurate estimate.
More to follow,
-Mark
