Hey Bruce
I have just joined up after doing an on-line search on "London to Cape Town". I am planning to to ride from London to Cape Town and I'm thinking of taking off in September 2012 in order to arrive in Cape town for Christmas. My friend Sean was supposed to be heading with me, but has had to back out due to work. Anyhow; I have tested a GS1200 which I thought was fine ( I must admit that I followed in Ewan Mc G's footsteps here...) and will test a KTM in the coming weeks. I am also booked on to an off road skills weekend in Ystalyfera in July to sharpen up. When are you planning to head over? Have you applied for your visas? I spoke to the British Embassy in Libya this morning and whilst they do not give much away, it seems that things are relatively settled there at the moment. Cheers Fergal |
