Thanks fellows!
MIL leaves on Saturday after being here for 4 weeks. I might celebrate just a little sometime Saturday morning. Jennifer's doing great. I'm finally putting new bars on the Gas Gas, and even let myself think about riding a bit. Maybe in a few weeks.

Glad you guys got out for a bit.
I took the 'Strom for a 75 mile loop this morning before it got too hot. She's geared way tall and isn't much to look at, but boy, she sure eats up the miles. Can't wait to get back to work so my budget will allow for some farkles (for this bike and the DR). And as the father of an active duty Airman, here's to a restful Memorial Holiday and a reminder that freedom is not free.

DRZ 400S for Sale
Hello all. I'm new to the area. Just moved down from Fort Bragg, NC. I'm enjoying the area and I went and rode the Monroeville Madness a couple of weeks ago. Good time. Everyone that I've met have been great and I'm looking forward to riding with more of you.
Anyhow, I'm selling off one of the fleet. I actually just bought it as a fun fixer-upper project to begin with. Well, now it's fixer-upped and for sale. It's a 2003 Suzuki DR-Z 400S. I know the history of the bike from the first owner, through the second owner (a good friend) of mine and then to me. The first owner was a wealthy motorcycle colloctor in Albemarle, NC. He bought the bike and put on some good upgrades: Full Yoshimura exhaust, auxillary radiator fan, aluminum skid plate. Over the next few years, he put 600 street miles on it. Then he put it up for sale. My buddy bought it and rode it about six months, getting the mileage up to about 1300 and change. Then he dropped it on the street and let it set (wrecked) for a few years. After much encouragement, he finally sold it to me as a fixer-upper project. I replaced the tail light assembly, clutch cover, turn signals, inner tubes, new battery, two new keys (he lost the keys), and replaced the handlebars with a set of lightly used Renthals (trimmed 1/2" on each side for woods riding). I also put it in the shop at Barracuda Suzuki for a carburator service. It ran fine for a couple of months, then it wouldn't idle right. So I took it to Turn One in Milton (at the recommendation of a couple other ADV riders). They gave it a fresh carburator service, and now it's running like brand new. I'm picking it up next week after the Holiday weekend and I'll get some pictures. I'm asking $2400 for it. Anyone who's interested is welcome to take it for a test ride. Pictures to follow! SF Guy
