And now you have proven that space to be empty.

For me the Boxster interior is cramped compared to the Miata.

Not much that trunk is too small.
But really your asking what kind of baggage a miata has?...
Well for starters
There are some people who look down on the car deriding it for being too soft styling, too girly or too male hair dresser.
There are also those that don't like it as its not a serious sports car.

The baggage any Porsche has is that it's a Porsche and with it come a whole world of Porsche owners to that you add that the boxster currently sits on the bottom rung of the Porsche sportscar food chain. It doesn't get a whole lot of respect from the upper crust of Porsche owners.

In reality they both are decent cars. And first gen miatas are a hell of steal for a sports car.

Convertibles

Over the years I have owned a Miata, Boxter S, and two Jeep Wranglers. Currently I have a Wrangler Rubicon hardtop. I have enjoyed them all but the Wrangler is great for local on or off-road. The hard top is 3-pc that can be removed fairly easily or you get a soft top to start with. However, the Wrangler is not a great long distance rig so if you are thinking of long-distance mileage you might want the Miata or Boxter. I really liked my Boxter but the cooling fans draw air from below the chassis and on my dirt road it was like a giant dirt devil. Not good for the motor. Porsches are really a hoot . The Miata is a nice car - cheaper to purchase and maintain. Very reliable and with a huge farkle market.

At 6'2", my sunroof coupe has me stooping or slouching with the sunroof closed. I wish I'd have realized non-Sunroof cars have 2" additional headroom.

PS: A Boxster is not a Porsche. It's just the parts left over they decided were not good enough for a 911. Let's just leave it at that.

260hp/260 torque and 33+ MPG. No trunk to speak of, but lots of fun to drive. Add a $200 tune and get near 300hp and 325 torque.

I vote Mustang! Get a 2011 or newer v-6 and it gets over 30mpg with 300 plus hp. I had a 2000 v-6 with 5 speed. Only 190 hp but with the 5 speed it was fun!

And 240... Thats pushing it. I know that's what the numbers say but real world it's a lot lower. Yes there is no torque to speak of, thankfully you just spin the engine like a sportbike and the car moves out.

A heck of lot more fun and nowhere the baggage either a Boxtster or a Miata has.
I have an '04 S-2000, drove it today actually, and it does go very, very well, better than any Miata I have ever driven. You can run over dime and tell what year it is though. The S-2 isn't for eveyone and if you want luggage space.....if you can't pack light the S-2 has limited cargo space.

Keep the tach below 6 grand and it sips fuel like a Civic. Fun, reliable, looks great, goes like stink. You can leave them bone stock and have a blast with them.

The newer AP-2 (04 and up) tend to understear off throttle but you can dial in a little more neutral handling with slight oversteer by using the throttle.

They imported 88 to the states in '90 & '91, but made about 2000 for Europe under the Zastava and Innocenti brands. I know of about a Dozen here now. They pop up on ebay from time to time.

I sold this one earlier this year to PA.
