Collector Plates in Wisconsin
Wasn't sure where to start this thread, regional or old school. Anyway...
I'm thinking of trading an older bike with my dad, and putting both of them on collector plates. I see there is a new requirement, to send photographs along with the application. I will do it, but it raises questions for me. Such as, why do they need the photos? Isn't the title proof enough that the vehicle is indeed old enough to qualify for the plates (20 years old)? And with all the whining I hear about the state being understaffed and overworked, who has time to look at all these pictures anyway? Maybe my question is better directed at the head of the DOT. My theory, there is some car nut at teh DOT that wants to look at pictures of cool vehicles all day and get paid for it. EDIT.. now that I read this, I hope it doesn't get booted to CSM!
