So, I now know why you want me to bring my maps over to HC. You know I'm retired and may possibly be persuaded to lead you through Idaho for a few days......... might cost you some adult beverages or something I also have my place in Cascade. We need to talk. Or just bring a highlighter and your benchmark and I can draw you an awesome trip route.

Well, this was a great warm up.

This year I have up to 9 weeks to get lost.
I have some new gear to test and I am just a couple short weeks from departure.

Last year I broke my lower humerus. The bone is healed but the soft tissue has been very slow to heal. The doc said surgery was too risky and that it might take up to 5 years to fully recover. I could be dead in 5 years so I am going on an adventure while I still can.

This year I have no set plans other than starting in Hells Canyon.

I plan to set up remote base camps and explore for a couple days or more wherever the desire to sets in.

I could hit up to 6 states. I have no set route.

It will be packed lower and hopefully lighter than that load

You are going to get to see my Fugly Bucker this year at Hells Canyon

I am letting a co-worker take it on his first ever dual sport adventure. 685 alive! You'll dig it. We will be parting company as he has to come home Sunday and I don't HAVE to be home until the middle of August. If I can find shelter, gas money and feed myself I can stay out for a spell and I plan to do just that.

Maybe I'll call it... Round way Round
