Lately that does seem to be the case but let's not forget James' perfect outdoor season not too long ago. I'm certainly not his biggest fan but the dude is fast. It's too bad we're missing RV and CR for the season. It could have really been good.

Motocross always fit Stewart's riding style much more then Supercross. You have to ride very loose, roll with the terrain, and know when to pin the throttle to help the bike recover which is exactly what he does. There isn't much of a premium on accuracy until tricky ruts get involved (when he almost binned it in the rutted up Texas 12 pack for the 2nd moto).

I'm not entirely convinced the Yamaha was his downfall because the Honda seemed to enjoy injuring its riders for the past two years as well . It seemed like anyone on a Honda was doomed to some season ending injury except for Barcia. Part of it really could have been the bike and that shows you how important the equipment is as their level of riding.

Yeah, he's looking very 2008. I'm not saying he'll pull another perfect season ( he won't) but he is looking very smooth and fluid.
Dungey will win some, but it will be Stewart's championship.

What about Mikey? :loll

If Dungey isn't able to at least get a moto win in the next couple of rounds, he can kiss Stewart goodbye for the rest of the season, his head will have too much roost in it.

+ 1/2

I wouldn't bet against Stewart for the championship but he's had too many issues since 2008, he's not the same.

I heard Tony was making him do 500 pull-ups a day suspended from the basket of a hot air balloon with no parachute, to get him prepped for the altitude at the next round.

The way Barcia has been riding the 250,I'm suprised he's not moving to the 450 like last year, dont care for him but he'd make things interesting!

If he is mathematically out of the top 2 or 3 spots with a few rounds to go, I bet he shows up on the 450 to finish the season and prepare for the money races in the fall.

I'm also surprised with his performance so far. He was pretty dominant in SX and even held of Tomac at the last race in Vegas.

Becoming a little smarter and less wild child swapping all over the place may turn him into a SX guy, or what we refer to as a greedy little sissy.
