Another Trip!
New England bound. Well, I'll be skipping southern New Hampshire, Vermont, all of Mass., and Rhode Island, but hey I still say I'll be in New England.
I'm heading out next Monday, early AM from Maryland. Taking the boring Interstate, 81 north through PA (I grew up there, it is my backyard and so I don't feel I'll be missing anything) into New York, then taking 12 to the Adirondacks to camp for the first night. From there, I'll explore a bit of the Mountains before racing through northern Vermont and New Hampshire. The real "destination" is MAINE!!!! When I get into Maine, I plan on picking up a Gazzette to figure out where I am going. I love detailed planning. I am going to try and hit the coast for a bit. I have ten days, camping to keep the costs in line. Any suggestions or if anyone is interested in hooking up to show a noob some of the sights, please clue me in! I'm using some of the roads from Docking Pilot's awesome trip report. But any and all help appreciated! Thanks!

Sounds like fun with plenty of time!
You should try to make it up to Nova Scotia! What are you riding? From the Adirondacks I wold come across into Vermont and try to make your way up to the NEK (north east kingdom VT) From there cross your way over to Pittsburgh, and take Magalloway mt rd into Maine. (remote dirt roads) I haven't ridden main much yet so cant help you there. Happy trails! |
