Called in the insurance company back. After talking to my general contract /arch .. he said to tell them if the box is black inside the inspector will re-tag the box. I told the service person they are in notice that if there was damage s resulting from the electrical box then they will be at fault for now having it looked at.

A master electrican will be here in the morning.

My neighbor has one similar to that. It works well. It also came with a manual that contains a reference guide to assist you in positioning a particular model of car relative to the lift, and where the lift points are on the vehicle. When I had my Ford Ranger over there the manual had the data for it. When I had my 1984 BMW 318i over there, the manual had the data for it too.

A thought if you haven't ordered a lift yet. Do a 4-post with plates in the opening so you can double decker bikes if you get crazy with collecting.

What kind of finish do you have on your garage floor.
How can you work on a car if you have the lift with bikes?

You won't be disappointed with the polished concrete. I was fortunate to rent a place in Plam Springs, CA with polished concrete floors and I loved it. Great looking, easy to keep clean, and enduring for years and years. Just remember how thin it is and don't drop anything too heavy on it!

The floor is just polished concrete, no coating/finish.

If I needed to work on a car I can take the bikes off the lift & remove the center plates. They just lift off.

Slippery when wet?? I guess it does not rain much in AZ though. DD

We have the monsoon season in the summer. It could be raining for 1-2 hours with a inch of rain falling in that time .. and then it would be dry in a couple of hours. Planned on great drainage in front. Very little water in the garage.
We have a negative edge on the garage door (sloping away).

Anything wet on the floor will be dried in 20 mins or less ( 8-10 % humidity).

Food preparation tables are a great idea, When the VW regional training facility closed down the cafeteria had a bunch of food prep tables they were selling off...some with risers and shelving...nice stuff. I wanted to buy a few pieces for my shop but missed out. This kind of thing can be found for sale online or in the paper from restaurant closures from time to time. I subscribed to this thread from the get go and have been watching the progress. That garge is coming along nicely.
