Hey Wayne,

Unlike the R15, R20 and - to a degree - the R25; the R35 wasn't designed to be hydration kit compatible, so there is no official way of retrofitting a system in this pack.

The pack itself is too deep to place the reservoir inside and the zipper arrangement doesn't allow for the tube to be routed effectively. The reservoir will fit in the external mesh pocket, which has the shock cord overlay, to help keep items in place, and the drinking tube can be routed over the shoulder and held in place on the harness using the same Velcro tab as on the R25. However, this is unlikely to keep 3 liters of liquid, fully secure.

If you want to give it a go, you might be able to 'McGuiver' something that works for you, but, we can't really recommend it.

OK, So I took delivery of my Beta.



I had so much fun being a street hooligan, that I have not had a chance to install the US 5 bags or pics of my bike as of yet.

already have several kreiga bags etc. big fan. great stuff.

interested in the overland 60. i have metal mule panniers on my 1200GS...will you guys offer a solution for their frames?
or perhaps what you have up on this thread will work?

also, what are the dry/empty weights of the system w/ bags? the MM kit is 32.4lbs (2-38L panniers, frames) including their matched exhaust can and mid pipe...
i'm looking for a lighter solution for when i want to do more off road and don't want a third of my carried weight in boxes alone...
i would imagine what you guys have come up with here is way lighter....?

Hi Patrick,

The Overlander 60 will simply clip onto your Metal Mule frames without any bother at all. And they would certainly help with your quest to shed a few pounds - the total weight of the OV60 (2 x platforms, 4 x bags & all hardware) is just 11.7lbs. I don't think it's possible to make anything lighter, that could withstand a serious beating.

We're actually just adding the new stuff to the site (http://www.kriega.us/ADV-motorcycle-panniers/) in preparation for the first batch arriving in the next week or so. In the meantime, here's a couple of new photos...

So SW-Motech has the pretty popular Quick-Lock EVO side racks. The tubing is more oval than round and I have been told they are 18 inch. Do you think the Overland 60 system will work?

Hi Mode,

Unfortunately your spidey senses were bang-on this time - the Overlander mounting gear will only fit round tubing and the Quick-Lock EVO is almost pressed- flat.

But yeah - those Touratech ones are real nice. I reckon it'd be worth it (but I would say that!). And I'm sure you could off-load the SW ones in the Flea Market without too much hassle...

Hi there Michael and fellow ADV riders, Here are some pics and a first ride review of Kriega products.

First off let me start out saying the design and build quality is awesome! The bags not only fit securely, They are VERY EASY to access stuff. I already had to pull out my tools today on the trail. Easy off/on and back to riding.

The 10 liter pack was really surprising! My buddy started getting hot and needed somewhere to put his enduro jacket. It's a huge Joe Rocket with full elbow/shoulder pads. It fit perfect! When the bag is empty, it fits nice and flat against the rack. I'm keeping it permanently mounted. It will be perfect for on the spot stuffing and overnight trips. The US 5 packs mounted to the side panels did not budge!

And lets not forget the pull strap. BOOM! Absolutely Brilliant!

After getting me a spare wheel set for my Beta, I will be getting more goodies from you Michael.

Looking good, mate!

Glad to hear you're enjoying the gear and to see that the Beta's getting dirty!

Coupla points though... If you roll the tops of the Drypacks down the other way (downwards - top to base), they look neater and work better. And be sure to mount the US-5s with the opening at the top - they'll be fine the other way around, but that's best practice. Also, did you use the included Alloy Hook Straps or the compression straps to attach the US-10 to the rack? I can't tell from the photos, but the Alloys will offer more stability and convenience.

It's great to see the gear on such a righteous bike. Thanks for sharing!

How much rigamarole is involved in re-fueling with the US Tank adaptor? Thinking of turning one of my US-10's into a tankbag, but I'm having a hard time seeing how much of a pain in the ass the adaptor is going to be at fill up time.

Hi Levain,

Zero rigmarole (good word that is!)!

The back two straps have quick-release buckles. Just push the buttons and flip the whole thing out the way. Fill up, clip em back in and check everything is cinched down tight and you're good to go.
