I especially like the light. Do you clip on the stays, or are they still there when you fold it up? Maybe use a seal to keep the dust & crap out? Also clear coat the aluminium so you don't get that black shit everywhere

Hi Boxa bits, the wire stays clip together with a rubber ring between them and then sit around the back of the pannier when the table is folded, also the latches go over them so they stay in place.
The lids have a alloy channel welded in them with a 10 x 13mm block rubber seal fitted that is compressed by the latches to make everything dust and waterproof, also makes the lid more rigid. Have a look further up this thread and you will see that i have liner bags made now that are the same shape as the exhaust cut-out and straight side panniers if you want to go that way to stop everything getting black on them form the alloy. You can also spot in the photos the powder coated sets so pretty much got it covered. But its good to get feedback from riders and that is how i improve things all the time, Today i am packing the bike and a van full of gear and setting up a little display at the Horivons Travelers meeting, im lucky its only just down the road and not a 2500k round trip that it was for a few years. Not good that i dont get to ride there but i can take more stuff. |

Wow looking back at that one photo, I see maybe 7 pairs of panniers on the shelf.
