I would worry about this statement:

Quote:
Not compatible with Hondas or with Ford Econoline Vans
Not sure what the interferance issue is, but if it relates at all to width--we are so screwed. I believe the big-wide, assed BMW will be wider than the Ford Econoline Van....

They make a new one that is all digital ( no vacumn canister). I have not installed one of these yet. I have installed many of the ccs-100 's on many different kinds of bikes and they worked fine. I have installed at least 3 MCCruise units and the innards appear to be "Rostra" who makes the Audiovox unit.as well. MCCruise uses its own switch gear.

Nice to meet everyone! I appreciate getting to meet and talk with everyone who came.

As for the bike, that was before it fell off the trailer 3 (as in three) times today. Fortunately I could ride it back. Now I have to inspect the front brake, straighten the bars to the front wheel, clean the fuel cap vent, and fix the right hid light casing. Most of the impacts were taken by the right highway peg, which is bent to hell but not critical to having a working bike. Also _very_ fortunate the bike fell on the trailer without touching the street!

The fun part was running from home back to the wagon to get the tow vehicle...after having sweatily wrestled withthe straps and standing up the bike while on the trailer

So, did it still pass inspection? Also, I think you should view this vid for some new ideas.

However, it looks like you picked which Adventure bike is best for you!

Picking up the bike from the ground was much easier!

I have the light JB Welded together. The highway peg is bent up but I have 3/4 tube to make a new one, and the bars are straight(er). Needto take the seat off to verify some things and we should be good
