Michelin SC tire wear

This is a TMax thread and I if he could read, he'd see I was asking about other TMax owners experiences with this or other tires. Not talking about any other bikes other than the TMax here. If you can't offer anything constructive or valuable to say, just go away and Put the guy on "ignore" status. Moderators have been notified...

So, everyone else, what have your tire experiences been for the T-Max?

I just put new tires on at about 4800 miles. I had cupping front and rear, although I did have plenty of tread left. I went with the Pirelli Diablo scooter tires. I have about 250 miles on them and I'm very happy with them. There's a few tire threads over at majestyusa about replacement tires for the TMAX and people generally very much liked the grip with these compared to stock although it sounds like they wear out faster than stock. It does feel "gripier" and much more confidence inspiring since I got them. Rode them home in a pretty decent rain storm without any problems.

It's probably been mentioned (and adressed by Yamaha), but you guys
should keep a close eye on the fuel pump.

Most of the ones on the 2009-2011 or so models sold locally failed more
then once.

Expensive fix (like most of the stuff on the T-max), but there have been
cases where Yamaha forked out a new one even outside of warranty.

Just FYI.

What was the problem with the cap? How did you figure it out?

Hi I have a 2007 T-Max in Oz and so far no overheating issues.
Do you know whether earlier models like 2007 had the same overheating issues? and if so fixxes?
thanks Robbi
