Keep the air pressure low in the rear tire when off-road in bumpy stuff... that big tire tends to bounce when over inflated.
Also, watch out for what us Cajuns call "Gumbo Mud"... that's the really stick stuff... it tends to clog up the between the front tire and fender causing the front tire to push REALLY bad like. Other than those two items... that is one AWESOME bike!!! And that engine is bullet proof!! |

I KNOW the feeling...
I just bought mine a few weeks ago... Posted about it back on page 98 of this thread. And in another thread I explained my rationale for buying it. .

I am needing something I can carry more stuff. I am looking at a connie and a tdm.... and as always something sporty powered is calling me so a buell st3 is also on my list of legitimate wants right now.
its ok to like something built on the sportster platform. Its a great motor even if it was made by the MC.

I tried a NC700X yesterday, and it went from laughing at Honda for all 3 of the new NC700 bikes to wanting one. I was shocked how good that bike was.
It's exactly what I look for in a bike. ![]()

Today, I would like some kind of big thumper dual sport. KLR or something like that. But reality will be some cheap old dirtbike, maybe in a few months. I do miss multiple bikes sometimes.

I forgot myself until I picked up my Buell S1. So quiet and serene compared to the GS. And then there is the way that visually the bike just seems to fall away and become almost nonexistent. And I don't feel any
wind blast until I get up around 95 or so, and I don't spend any time there anyway. Of course rain and cold is a different story, so I guess the "protection" still has a place, but still... for fair weather riding I do like doing it nekkid!

Triumph Scrambler.
Still comes up number one every time I make a list. There's one on ebay. Nearest dealer is too far to go drool on them. Trying to be good and not go finance one this weekend. Better to be somewhat responsible. I think...
