Any news on the shower front?

And I assume that as I have a valid UT license plate on the KLR, I don't need an OHV tag?

Officially, you need an OHV sticker for all off-road usage but there hasn't been any enforcement yet.

Some clarification on this: if you go on singletrack or quadtrack (less than 50" wide), you are supposed to have it. If you stick to trails that jeeps can go on you do not need it.

At least for now...Ranger told me 5 years everyone will need it. He shook his head at the nightmare trying to enforce that.

I really can't do such a small run (especially for the stickers) so I'm going to leave the site up for awhile, but just a heads up to those who have ordered; I may have to cancel and refund both of you guys.
C'mon guys! I really want this shirt. Coolest design I have seen in years! Plus this way I will have one from Westfest in NM, MT & CO!

Rainbow Falls / Rampart Technical Singletrack

Two 7 mile singletrack trails. By "singletrack" I mean motorcycles only; no quads. These are TOUGH trails for experienced riders. Do not attempt these trails unless you know how to get over tight steep root obstacles without spinning your back tire (see video). Singletrack trails are blue on the map.

These trails are best suited for a 2-stroke woods machine. I have done them on my DR350, but it felt like I was on the wrong bike for the trail. Whatever your ride, you will need lots of stamina to ride them. These trails are not friendly to wide bars.

If you are going to trailer your bikes I suggest taking the highway (35 miles). If you are going to ride there I have put in a few dirt shortcuts that would be shorter and more pleasant than the highway.

Good Luck

Okay I'll lead the bigger bike 770 Skeleton Trail ride.
Nothing bigger then a 650cc. Also KLR not recommended at all due to width of trail. Side luggage not recommended due to width.

This be on Saturday July 28th.
Time to be determined.

I've been planning to order - guess I'll get on it ASAP.

Earlier in thread someone said:
"You want to tap in to Pablo and Modette......they are the "experts" on the area!!!!!..... Modette is frickin crazy!!!!! You are a loon if you follow him!!!!"

So I think I will have to pass.

I am trying to get my 1200 GSA (experienced rider but dirt newb) riding buddy from ABQ to join me so I will have a excuse to do the easier rides. No matter what I have to take it easy since I leave on a crucial business trip right after I get back to NM.
