Info on krauser bag latch, old thread?
Somebody did a really great write up about replacing the latches, the ones that lock the bags not the attachment latches, a few months ago. The two latches on top of each of my bags are giving up. One of them doesn't work at all. The fix that somebody came up with involved just some simple hardware store type door latches that fit very nice. I thought I had it saved but can't find it anywhere. Any body have this thread marked? Can remember enough to find it? I spent several hours today searching in various modes for this with no luck. Any help will be appreciated.

I think this is what you want.

That does look like what I remember except the bags are a bit different than mine. Memory is not perfect. My bags have a longer latch that will leave a bare spot when removed. I think this repair will still work. I'll have to get some of the parts and test fit them.
Thanks for the help. My bags are really showing their age but they aren't damaged at all, just getting old like everything else around here.

Oh, now I see. Those are the same bags. They look different with the latches off. Thanks again.
