What if someone isn't the happy owner of the owner's manual? This is theoretically possible for people who bought their bikes second-hand.

Or a Google search will come up with one in .0000045 seconds.
Or if you really need one and weren't for some reason, able to D/L it, someone here would likely copy one for you.
I have scanned specific pages for my 1150 for inmates and made one copy. (It's free when you do it at work )

You're google searching was better than mine--I could only get service manuals.

Nope, at my age it's not an option.

I'm really amazed at the differing opinions on this. To clarify, I did read the riders manual, but skipped the ABS/ASC part as mine does not have it, she’s bare bones and when I posted the question I was sitting in my office with the manual at home.
For the last few years the bikes I have had have only the luxury of an hour meter nothing else, just not used to these 'electronics' . I may be a noobie on this forum but as mentioned before I know my way around a motorcycle have raced offroads & enduro and have been riding since I was 12yrs old, I'm now 62.
My question was answered pretty promptly within the first few replies and thanks for that & to all the positive contributors.
One thing I did miss was the FAQ which I have now been through, there is a wealth of info there and I appreciate it thanks.

Nope. Both can have ABS - here it is an option, where you are it maybe too.

Sir,
Technically speaking, you are correct. BMW called the bikes GS, GSA, GS Adventure and GSA Adventure where the A indicated ABS.
However, no one takes notice of this fact. Here in GSpot you safely assume that GSA means "GS Adventure, with of without ABS"-
When asking any question about brakes you need to explicitly note whether you have ABS or not.
Thus, "I have a GSA without ABS" is, technically speaking, incorrect it will pass here as valid.

I advice a read of the GSpot FAQ where you will find that this is discussed in detail.
