Rockinrog, have you had a chance to see any of the Norfolk Southern anniversary locomotives yet? The Pennsylvania Rail Road one came through town the other day on it's way to Strasburg. I only saw pictures and it looks pretty neat.

I got out for a ride today, mostly in Bald Eagle State Forest. I was about 15 mile from home before I realized I had forgotten my camera. So only sell phone pics from today.

I was cruising along and saw this little thing standing along the road about 3 feet from my tire. I got stopped and walked back and he was doing what nature has programmed him to do...Lay down and don't move.
  I knew Mom wouldn't be far off, so i snapped a few pics and moved on. |

So cool you got a pic of the fawn that close!
Saw a fellow mowing a big field of grass on Saturday,,, wondered about those little fellows hiding in there,,,, like you said, they don't move, and with tall grass, they don't get seen until it's too late.

great shots, I love that area and try to get out there often, riding and camping, and also flyfishing, a friend has a place on penns near weikert. penns roosevelt is a great place to camp, and I always stop at the Elk Creek in Milheim for a brew!

I saw several white tail buck, but wasn't quick enough with the camera. I was on my way home when I crossed the mnt and realized it would only be a short time till sunset, so I turned around and got the camera out.
There is an alter on top of the mountain:  There is also a marker memorializing an apparent rider named Grizz:
