I went ahead and ordered a 120 x 120 12V brushless fan for $8 off ebay, shipped from China. Maybe too cheap, but I'll find out.

Very nice. Tell us what all you used to make it. You obviously put a lot of work into figuring out the suspension. Is is from an XT or a YZ? How does it handle? |

Awesome Falcon!
What a beautiful bike! So many trick details... again, so awesome!![]() I love the color-scheme and paint-job, and the exhaust is really slick! I can only imagine how much of a blast this is to ride!

Thanks Guys! Yeah It was a lot of work, but building it was almost as much fun as it is to ride. (Glenn) It is a mongrel, but most of the parts came from......... you guessed it, an xt. The rear wheel and brakes came from a yz. The sub frame is custom as well as the cradle. The xt frame doesn't have a cradle so I had to make that too. Here is the full build if you are interested. http://advrider.com/forums/showthrea...ht=xt350%2F400

Yes, all 12 volt fans are immersible. I used to race RC cars/boats/planes, and we always broke in the motors via immersion in water.
That said - you need to take care if you immerse them, that you don't cause a collision betwixt core and fan blades.

Mike,
It looks a bit vunerable mounted on front, but if it won't fit in the rear you don't have much choice. Is that on a DRZ400? I think the 06' 400S I had the stock fan was mounted on the left rear radiator. |

this intel fan is a low rpm low power version. it should be alright, I won't have to worry about it would push a rock to hit a hole in the raditor.
something is expendable in case of madness

That's a great idea. There are millions of KLR's out there just dying to loose 100 lbs and play int the dirt. Show them "the way" and you will become famous!!
