Funny, my bike has no visible bars until I've got about 5 min of running time; then I get the bottom big one.
I'll keep watching it but I'm much less concerned since hearing everyone's experiences. A big mug of virtual beer to all of you.

If you are truly concerned about heat (and you don't need to be) you will of course run synthetic motor oil. It's obvious.

Yeah. It was 105 Sunday and I was watching mine pretty closely. Stayed only one or two clicks below the "oh shit" line. I will do the suggested Flatdark fin cleaning before the next ride. Thanks for posting the procedure. Sounds pretty effective to me.
