I had the OEM bash plate initially, smashed it up last year and now have the MOD (Motooverland) one, much prefer the MOD skid plate. It is flat on the bottom and on the front which makes putting the bike on a jack much easier and more options for mounting a tool tube to the front of it (made my own out of PVC pipe) which mounted nicely. Could not do that with the OEM one as it is kind of "V" shaped.

I just put the MOD plate on my '12 650. It's a great product.

MOD plate for sure. Touratech are the only frame mount bars that I'm aware of... I could be wrong though.

Ok
MOD it is & all research says TT is the only frame mount crash bar. OH! will the tt engine guard (center stand) extension
work with the MOD skid plate?" Thanks guys

You don't need the centre stand guard. The MOD plate extends back to cover the cat

Thanks to all
Thanks guys for your information & the MOD plate is ordered, plus since this new bike is a F650GS Lowed, it doesn't come with a center stand, so the MOD plate wins again
![]() Thanks All
