What does this hose do?
So, I was looking at the underside of my F800GS during my first oil change and happened to see this hose sticking out, somewhere between the cat and around the place where the center stand attaches. I am usually wary of objects pointing out, but the end looks cut sharp and shouldn't be something that snapped. I am assuming it has been always that way and that this is some sort of a breather pipe. I don't see any flashing light on the dash, and no cause of alarm generally on the bike. But still, is this normal; do you folks have it on your bikes as well?

It's probably the breather/overflow from the fuel filler area. R1200GS had at least one of those so assume the other models have them as well.

It is a drain hose from your charcoal cannister. There is a recall on it to put on a syphon break and relocate it. It had a bad habit of sucking up water and injecting it into the throttle body.

It could also get blown against the cat and melt shut.
That would not be good.

Spare tube for adding air into the tyres. I don't know why yours doesn't have the proper fitting on it.

If it is that new, it has the mod. All it is, is a T fitting at the other end that allows air in to prevent vacuum from sucking up water.
It is no big deal, cut the hose shorter or move it.
