And I'm with Alicethomas on the day 2 itinerary - Grindlewald and the Lautenbrunnen Valley are minutes from Interlaken. I would tend to stay closer to Interlaken than Berne just to get a jump on the day - although the ride down the Thunersee is a nice ride.

+1 on La Tremola vs. the main road. The turns can be a bit tight, but it's really not a challenge. Part of La Tremola as seen from the main road:

Another bit is to stop in Innertkirchen between the Susten & Grimsel passes. The Hotel Hof und Post has a webcam that updates every second or so. The plaza by the bank (lower left corner) is a nice place to stop, call friends at home or at work, and wave to them as you tell them what a great time that you're having

For some reason, they don't seem to appreciate the thought

@michaelj & @alicethomas -
Came back on Friday after lots of autobahn madness but the trip was a lot of fun! We missed a lot of places but we enjoyed so much more than we expected. Am definitely coming back!!
Couldn't have been so much fun without the help you two extended over the last few weeks. Thanks a ton!! The least i can do is acknowledge your help and put up a trip log. Will do so in the coming week.

And yeh, Michael, i found the small ice cream place in Glorenza and the ice cream sure was good.

Yup - the funny thing is that the more trips that I make over there, the longer my list of things to see/do gets.

You'd think that it would get shorter...

Glad that you had a good trip and very happy to have been of some assistance to your enjoyment.
