Nice looking! With the stock choke cables on my '74 R90/6 I will give a full choke at cold start-up. The engine fires up, then I give it about "half choke" for a bit as the engine warms. The stock choke lever on the airbox holds the cables/choke in any position from fully closed to open. Will your choke controls allow for various choke positions , or is it only fully closed or fully open?

I made up a pair from scrounged junk / bicycle spokes and hardware store fittings for $10.00 or so.
I used later model R100CS carbs on my earlier R100S engine and the choke actuators didn't work properly, kept binding up.
I had to remove the small "helper' springs.

Thank you. It can be put it anywhere in the travel and it will stay in place.

I am sorry, but I am just wondering why? IMHO the stock system has worked quite well for over 30 years. And I like the idea of only having to adjust one control instead of having to reach down twice to adjust them.

There might be a perfectly good reason for this, but I really don't see it. maybe for a race bike or ????

If you have a 70-79 without the airbox, custom build, race bike, or.......

It is only for the picture so you can actually see them.

I understand the heavily modified or race bike setup to use something like this, but I would think that a simple single actuator to do both enricheners equally would not be all that difficult to create. Sure, an easy fix would be to go to a later model left hand control. But why not just use those later cables, or similar concept, and mount up a nice single pull/push know somewhere that is easier to reach?

OK, so you only use them when initially starting the bike when cold, and they do look kind of neat and retro. But I am just lazy and like to only have to check one spot to ensure the chokes are off. Just me. I will go back to sleep now.

It is very common that the chokes do not close or open all the do to cable adjustment. With this set up you can really feel that they are all the way closed or open.
