How does it work with the exhaust. Is there an extra support. Is it made out of burn resistant material. Seems really close to the pipe, and jsut lays on the plastic. Esspecially if it was packed full, or worse laid down on that side.

Well, I only took it on a short ride but there is enough room between the exhaust. Im not worried about the heat issue. The bags lay on the side panels and strap down tight. It seems a lot better than a bag spider netted down. I have two tubes, all tools to change tires, pump, and misc. Stuff with room left over.

Lowered?
Trying to get my wife to ride. She did the MSF course and have ridden maybe a total of 5 times after it. We sold the ninja 250 and got a Monster 696 a couple of years ago, but she is too afraid. Was thinking of lowering the 1995 DR350SE so she could use it. I am 5'8" and she is 5'5 or 5'6" with a long inseam, so am thinking of the Kouba 1.5" lower link (#1) so I could still ride it comfortably. Does anyone have any pictures of a lowered bike? How much does it affect handling or off road prowess? Should I invest in Corbin instead?
Thanks! Dani |

I've recently sold my DR250, but one of the leftovers that I have is a 31mm pumper carb off of a dirt DR250. Is anyone looking for one? I got it from an ebay seller and never tried to install it, so I'm not sure how well it works or what it takes to get it onto a street bike. Folks say that these can wear out, but I don't really know how to measure this one to see if it has worn out or not. I have precision measuring tools and can put them to use with guidance of what to measure.
