LEDs in Ural
I am thinking of putting LEDs in the running lights, tail light. I am not sure if the hold up better or worse in an off road/ rougher/ bouncer enviroment. Any out there experianced on these conditions ?. I like LEDs because of lower power draw-and the don't burn out for a very long time if at all. I have had some on my other bikes for 8-9 years or better.

Some of the guys that run total loss systems use them for obvious reasons. I'd ask around on Soviet Steeds.

You have a 700W alternator, you don't need no stinkin' LEDs!

I run LED stop and tail in my MZ as the vibes killed the normal filaments. They are brighter and leave more current for the other circuits and I have not had to replace one yet. The only downside is they are more expensive than conventional bulbs but if they last who cares !

Yeah really - when you have 700 watts, why waste money on LED "upgrades".

Hey bud you really need to get over to soviet steeds and check that sight out. 100% of the questions you are asking over here are already answered over there. It is a great sight meant for our bikes. I would really recommend you take full advantage of the vast amount of very useful info over there.

No problems to run leds everywhere... They are more solid and brighter than filament bulbs.... I will do the same soon: I already found a led headlight ($$)... Still have to buy it!!

Thanks for all the replies. I was concerned about the LEDs holding up to off roading more than anything. I have some in my street bikes. I have found one that was almost shaken apart in my victory-but it still worked. I replaced it anyway. they sure are brighter, and last longer. I was run over once a long time ago-so brighter is better.
