Ok, I'll check the leftover parts I got left over tomorrow for a catch tank..;) but I think I will make one myself out of aluminium intergrated with a mudgard for the dynamo...
Engine was black, yes, but I fully repainted it and got new bolts for it!

K Riders
K Riders...I have had mine a total of 1 month and it no longer looks like a RT.No plastics,no cases, and hopefully a smaller and lighter battery. The battery that came with the bike is huge (I should note it is a new AGM from prior owner).
Hey Sheffers, any time I can help someone I'm just paying forward all the help I have gotten from this site.I have no "K" experience yet and my suggestion was from all my years as an auto mech. Can't wait to see your work on the alumn. expans.tank. P.S. did you paint the engine as a unit, or did you take it apart and paint it?

"In recent years the BMW K100 2valve and 4valve engines, as well as the later variants the K1100 and K1200 4valve engines, have provided Austin/ Rover classic Mini and MG enthusiasts with a cylinder head that closely matches the bore centers of the age old Austin Rover 'A' series 1275cc engine. In fact three of the originally head studs of 'A' series engine block line up with those of the BMW cylinder head. Miss alignment of the chambers from a 'bolt on' stand point, is only around 1mm front to back, and 2mm end to end. The cylinder head itself needs slight modification so it can live in an upright orientation, and converted to run a sychronous belt to drive the camshafts from the engines crankshaft. The engine block needs further modification to accept the new stud pattern of the BMW cylinder head.
Popularised by a handfull of companies, this conversion has seen power outputs so far in excess of 230bhp by forced induction, from only a 1.3 litre engine. Thats more than 175bhp per litre. Most however are of similar power outputs of the engines these heads are taken from." Copied from here: http://www.britishcarforum.com/bcfor..._head_on_1275_

I've sold a few heads to Mini owners. As one guy (in Everett) explained it to me the original heads on those Minis route a couple of the exhaust ports together so they don't flow as well as a K head.
