Here's my new baby. My first KLR. I needed something nimble, light (compared to my "metric bagger") and with a large gas tank. Today was day six - 165 miles and I can't believe how much I'm enjoying this thing. Black Twenty-Twelve:

I have always wanted a bike with black fork sanctions, exhaust, swingarm, motor, wheels, etc - and finally... :)

KLR Pics

I really like that blacked out look of the rims, swing arm and forks! Enjoy the ride!

KLR Pics

Here's my 2011.

The only thing NOT shown in the pics is the center stand I added a few days ago.

From todays ride

Home - Warburton - Reefton Spur - Mt Donna Buang - Marysville - Emerald - Home
250Kms - 6 Hours with stops.

Melbournites will be familiar with the area.

Sure theres a wanky art shot or two, but the bike loves the attention. Slutty thing she is.

Oh yeah, guess I should put this one up here...

Happened to notice I was 15 on the nose while sitting at a light, luckily it was a long light. Lowest mileage vehicle I've ever owned, it sure doesn't look it from the outside but it runs like new.

Too bad it passed it on the street, at least when I closed in on 10 I was coming home from an SBNF Adopt A Trail meeting. Here's to hoping I can arrange 20 on the dirt.

And yes, I was on my way to the gas station when that photo was taken.

Funny I was thinking gas soon too on the odometer. Mine is religiously needing to go to reserve at 220. My 2006 that I got almost 3 years ago with almost no miles turned 10,000 today and runs like a champ. Just got done with a 240 mile ride around Lake McConaughy here in Nebraska. Okay back to the show.

I got in another 200 miles today. Lots of river roads. Lots of places that were just made for the KLR, or maybe the other way around...
