The BS Point race is on. Mike Jones, owner, at Engle Motors BWM signed my scorecard.

I asked him not to sign any other scorecards. He only laughed.

If you are in KC and need any type of service stop by. They are a GREAT dealer.

Tell Mike I recommended them to you. I'm sure you will get something.

Dawn, as long as you and I are back by noonish, we should be good to go for the competition. I've got everything as organized as I can be and all we need to do is have a pre-meeting with the track judges and test radios. It's going to be much smoother than last year.

I'll review it all with you on Thursday.

I still have not recieved any confirmation on my MOA Rally tickets. I signed up online for the whole enchalada. I am planning on leaving home Friday. Is my name on a list in Sedalia or are they going to hit me for $40 more dollars at the gate?

So, Ulster left home this morning for the scenic route to Oark, leaving me and my bike behind at home to get to Sedalia next week. Then I get this Stop-In pic...

Luckily not, I'd hate to ruin those near 100 degree days :)

Sounds like some great riding getting to Oark! I might try to ride around and get some BS points today between NY and CT, feels like I haven't been on the bike in ages...I can pack tomorrow.

Later on today:
A couple of really cool check in's. Anyone visiting the Hudson Valley of New York should plan a trip to Motorcyclepedia. Check out the Arlan Ness crazy bike. Then I got to Max BMW in CT, and Teach McNeil was doing shows. Incredible stuff. 800GS with hard cases kissing the ground on all sides. Then some other non-GS stuff.

our Ozark map was slightly delayed at printing, so Ian does not have any for rally prizes. i sent him an email to create 2 rain-check coupons that can go out as prizes and be ten redeemed at out booth in Sedalia, but i haven't heard back from him. if any reads this and sees him please pass this along.
thnx bill

Cool2 Heading to Oark

I'm officially on my way, I left New Orleans this afternoon,

an early start was not possible as I'd been out with french friends downtown the previous evening celebrating Bastille Day, it started with fireworks over the Mississippi and ended in the early hours at a gay bar someplace near the french quarter (sorry no photos allowed of that part of the evening's proceedings!) New Orleans certainly knows how to party.
I'm sat in my "office" at Burger King in Delhi, and I'm hoping it's Delhi, Louisiana not India otherwise I may be off track a bit. And I'm belatedly reading through my scorebook stuff- I think I need to get some of it translated...

- 40 points for visiting all MO FO corners. You must visit all

four corners for any points to count

MO FO sounds like some sort of swearing competition, I don't think there's much danger of me picking up the points for that one.

the sun was shining as I left town, but not for long

as I crossed back over the Mississippi, the view of the river kind of looked like this

then it got worse, so I pulled over at a handy picnic spot

Cool2 GS Giants

I've made it here and what a great event, GSers in all directions, though I do believe there is an orange bike in the crowd somewhere
There's a creek next to the camping area with an excellent swimming hole, lots of shady trees to camp under and plenty of cold beer on tap.
Meeting lots of new people and catching up with a few old friends as well.

lots of forest trails to ride on

Getting closer! Bike and I stopped to see the Gateway Arch this evening. I can't believe we just rode through here in Sep, it seems like years ago.
