2010 Fall Colors Ride Report
2011 Fall Colors Ride Report

Weather / Tree Color Dependent:
Primary: October: 19-21
Alternate: Oct 26-28

Camping will be : VENUE CHANGE
Calaveras Big Trees State Park (Arnold, Calif)

~~Grover Hot Springs State Park, Alpine, Calif.~~ <-- Campground probably closed

Foliage Report HERE (once its up)

The weather has been and flakey as hell these past 2 years; hot, cold, rain dry. We will have a PRIMARY and ALTERNATE weekend for this event. IF Primary weekend weather is crap, will will go the ALTERNATE weekend.

This is 95% unorganized. It is a modified 'Farm Rules' event. No shirts, no pins, no food, no swag, no strippers.

This is not an ADV organized ride/event. I will not be there to greet you and hold your hand to set up your camp or your ride.

OMG. That ridiculous.

Shit. I havent touched the FJR (less oil changes) since her 36k service. That was about 13k miles ago. If I get 150k out of this bike before anything goes out I'm really going to have to question why I think BMW is so great.

Then again, without a doubt, the GS is the most amazing bike. EVER. No discussion.

Hey Gilli, May I make a suggestion. Ok, I will anyway. Groover Hot Springs at Markleville is a good spot. Great Camp ground, with Hot Springs, East side of the Sierras where the colors are much better, Hwy. 4, beautiful road.
