Here are some tracks I made for Westfest in Buena Vista (2008?). Not right out of Lake George, but not far. It would make a good dirt big bike ride... maybe drop down Shelf Road or Phantom Canyon to Canon City, this route, then buzz the highway back. Just thought I'd share it here.

Also, I'm already signed up for RMAR but have yet to receive a COHVCO number. How do I get it in order for my $10 off?

Oy! Just found out this costs money! Was planning on going, now it will depend on whether or not I get the traveling job I applied for.
Wish me luck

Just let me know when you get your COHVCO number and I'll refund your $10, even if it's after the event.

Also:
For any other out-of-staters comming in here's the information on where you can buy your non-resident OHV tag--should you feel the need to buy one that is.

Okay worked on a Map for my ride, just a rough idea might add more ATV trails and what not...it all depends what people want to do, I'm very flexible. Might explore more single track up there while there.
Mileage: With some trip software, I was bale to get about 34 miles to 770, so in theory a 100 mile tank should be good...but you might want to toss a few fuel packs into your bag. Bike Size: I just think a KLR or 950/990 would be too big for that single track. I'll be on a XR650R with 6.5 Gallon tank, so you decide. Routes thus far are easy to get there. But I will rate this as a difficulty ride as I am known to change things on the fly. So expect a hard day, and destination will be 770. If you're on a singletrack or quad trail, yes.

Remember, you can get the OHV tags (resident on non-resident) anywhere hunting/fishing licenses are sold.

If you have a Colorado plate you are good to go.
If you have out-of-state plates you need the sticker. If you are faster than a ranger then........
