I bought the DRC Edge 2 tail light kit and had a question for those of you that have wired it before. What did you do with the license plate light harness wires? Did you leave the connector empty or splice it into the Edge 2 light with the built in license plate light?

Thanks for the help.

Eek Regular gas

I know this topic is so two-days-ago, but FWIW, I've ran nothing but regular in my (stock) bike for the last 10 000km under pretty much every condition with no issues at all.

Hmmm... looks familiar...just yesterday...

Note: Dobeck told me to bump up #4 to 8.
Current settings 3/4.5/2/8/5/4.5

stock pipe w/upper plug removed
EXUP/all smog/flapper removed
FMF programmer of course
K&N filter. drill airbox door.

Sounds like your fuel is way lean on the last three settings...

Hmmmm, this is what I have from them (for FMF programmers purchased AFTER September 2010).....I'll call again today to verify what changes I need to make, if any, in the interim before my "Pre-September 2010" programmer gets updated with new firmware.....

Stock Setting with exhaust:
Green 3, Yellow 2, Red 0.5, Green/Blue 8, Yellow/Blue 4, Red/Blue 4.

Big bore 290cc settings with exhaust and lid opening:
Green 5, Yellow 3.5, Red 3, Green/Blue 0.5, Yellow/Blue 3, Red/Blue 4.

Big bore 290cc settings with exhaust and airbox modification:
Green 5, Yellow 4, Red 4, Green/Blue 0.5, Yellow/Blue 3, Red/Blue 4.

....Green/Blue 0.5...
That just doesn't make alotta sense.
As a note,
My bike would cut off, I mean just completely stall at mid-steady throttle, and the Dobeck guy told me to bump it to 8. Pretty much fixed that problem.

Just off the phone with Dobeck.....my contact is a tech named Chris - phone # is 877 764 3337

I was told to use 5, 8, 8, .5, 3, 4 while on my trip too Utah this week.....not the optimum settings because the unit is pushing +15% at the #2 spot (acceleration) instead of +18%.....same with the 3rd position (WOT).....

In a nutshell, crank up the second and third settings to the max until they get the unit back to update the firmware (settings 1 (cruise), 4 (RPM range to activate cruise), 5 (timing for acceleration adjustment) & 6 (timing for WOT adjustment) remain unchanged from the new firmware guidelines noted above)......once they squirt in the new firmware I'll revert to the 5, 4, 4, .5, 3, 4 settings noted above......

Looks like I'm due for some maintenance. I've had to bump start the bike a couple times lately if it sat for a few days or I forgot to turn the key off right away, so I think the stock battery has finally had it. Any recommendations for inexpensive replacement?

Rear tire's just about done, funny how that happens after a 500 mile weekend of trying to keep up with full-size sport tourers while loaded for camping. Probably will just get another T63 unless someone can convince me something else will work better and last at least 3-4k miles like these seem to.

Sprockets and chain are also roached, I think. Rear doesn't look too bad, but front is noticeably hooked, and I was getting some vibes at the end of the long ride. Still, 7500 miles of mixed riding isn't terrible for the cheap Primary Drive steel sprockets and x-ring chain. Was thinking of switching from 13/47 to 14/48 since I've been doing more road lately. Does a 14T front fit with the stock case saver or do I have to change it out? Finally time for a new chain slider, too, just to be safe...
