There's a local state government surplus warehouse near here that we checked out a few years ago. One of my buddies got an indestructible steel office desk, 1960s government-style, for $5, in basically perfect condition, given normal wear for office furniture. It had a CARB sticker on it, so it was like getting a little something back from those bastards. He recently moved again and sold it for a nice profit, nearly ten years later.
I passed on the used straightjackets.
