Motorrad Days - Istanbul, Turkey to Heidelberg, Germany via Garmisch Partenkirchen
Getting ready for my first Europe ride.. Will drop by for BMW Motorrad Days in Garmisch.

There will be about 10 of us from Malaysia on this trip. It will be a free an easy ride thru several countries over 20 days. Any suggestion on good routes with some nice stopovers are welcomed.
Also been going through some ride reports in Europe to learn some bits about riding condition, weather and traffic rules. Fuel stops and prices are another concern. Food too

Some preparations..
Inserting the thermal liner. Never use it here back home  3 zippers man for thermal and waterproof liner... It's now very snug. Have to cut down on food intake

Good thing the GSA comes with 3 boxes. Kinda luxury to be able to bring most of the things i want.
 Some backup foods too

Packing and securing the stuff coz the bike needs to be shipped to Istanbul.
 I wonder do i need to get a standby plate no for use in Europe

Here is the planned route. It will be a sightseeing leisurely ride of about 20 days covering around 6000kms.
 I've never been to most of the countries except France, Germany and Italy. Any suggestions on a must stop place for beautiful scenery or historic buildings is welcomed as long its not too far off the route. Cheers

Welcome to Istanbul
Flew in with Malaysia Airlines. 9 hours from Kuala Lumpur.  rode my Honda125 and parked at the airport. Minimal luggage coz everything is already on the bike which is shipped to Istanbul  There will be 2 bikes with pillions.. Their wives came along

Free day in Instanbul on arrival day. Did some walking around playing tourist
 Busy roads buzzing with people  Good public transport  Lunch.. Food aplenty

Finally.. the next day went to pick up the bikes at the port
 Bike was looking good. Inspected nd started with no problem. 3 weeks in the ship i think.  Everbody was happy..  Had to wait about 2 hours for customs clearance and 1 bike was picked for random inspection..  Everything was fine.. Ready to leave the port. Yehaaa!
