Dry river and little stones

A 5 hours trip, and ALL of the road was like this: dry river bend...

Been there... don't do it again.

Just a WAG...

Highway tire pressure is making the front dart and dig. With lower tire pressure, the tire will float and conform to the irregularities. Might help keep the rubber side down and give you more speed and stability.

Thanks for posting the video, looks like a great place to ride.

gee it looks like a day off road on a GS!

The first few times your friends might help you but after 5 or 6 dismounts, they'll just leave you behind then complain when you ramble up 20 minutes later.

I love my GS too!

mine just crashes on its own - I set it up for a pic and I walk away. When I turn around its already over

2:42 Feet to the sky! there's a good one.

Gravel is some interesting stuff, I got a huge driveway of the stuff to play around in eeeeevery day, but a river bed with irregular-sized smooth rocks seems like more fun! ...do you think there's a reason it was all left-side?

Don't know... maybe because I was driving on the right side of the path...
Or.. is just my lucky side!

It was near Monterrey, MX, in the state of Nuevo Leon.

It is thru the mountains of the Sierra Madre, wich they made a canyon that always fills with heavy rains.
In fact, there can be so much water that in several times it flooded a big part of the city.
That is why they build a dam in the canyon, that it remains dry the most part of the time, but when it rains... it pours!

Aaah, Monterrey. I haven't been there in probably ten years, but it was always a fun place to go for the weekend. I wish I had been able to experience it on a motorcycle!

Braver man than me Ghunga Din. I've only ridden those conditions on a DR 400. the Buller Gorge here in NZ, you have to cross the river at every bend, up & over the gravel/rock washes. I was shattered after half an hour, dread to think how hard it would be on a real bike.

Dumb question, but were you up on the pegs or sitting? It's harder to ride through that stuff whilst seated... And I know its easy to armchair quarter back this, so please note that no offense was meant or intended...
