i won't be heading that far east this time, but if you want to join me on a ride to the HU meeting in Toronto, lets go its Sept 20-23...surely you can come with an excuse to get way???
Oh - I could come up with an excuse. Its the ensuing divorce that I'd have trouble with. September 20th is my Anniversary - and when I mentioned going to Cro-Mag - I was met with the question - "How much do you think you can afford to pay in Alimony?". Trips for THAT weekend are definitely out.

Best wishes on this trip - I'll be following along and living vicariously through your adventures!

Hey Paul,

Got your email and replied today.

You got a couch to surf and garage space to work on your bike if you pass this way.

Might be able to join you down to Veracruz if you want some company. Mike's a great guy to know down there. Donnie and I had a good time.

JD

Hey Paul

Les and I are in on your Epic new adventure, we have met twice now and so that makes us good friends.

see you at the HU meeting in Eastern Ontario, the Aussie might be here as well.

The Overland Expo seems so long ago.

Cheers
Cath & Les

Paul, be sure to keep an eye out for Greg Powell at any of the HUBB events. He's a good guy to know.
If you come down with Schizz, he'll show you the "Jimmy ride" but only because he has yet to go on the ride that
will be named after him. The infamous "Schizz ride" awaits LOL!

The "Jimmy Ride" is a slight variation of the Perote to Xalapa route. Usually, the Jimmy is done from Veracruz with an open fire cooked Mexican steak breakfast or egg and sausage or both (yes!) with extra jalapenos and raw onions for added zing, and then half way along the back road from Teocelo to Perote you take the little left marked "Quimixtlan" and cross into Puebla (where the roads are good and the salsas are better) and then you head over the mountain and down the other side into Guadalupe Victoria, Puebla and then do the 5 haciendas route to Ciudad Serdan, Puebla. The first of four variations of the Jimmy Ride is when you opt for Saltillo Lafragua half way down the mountain to Guadalupe Victoria and then go to the very aptly named "Maravillas" and then to Gonzalez Ortega and then on to La Gloria, Veracruz where the H1N1 flu virus supposedly originated with a little boy there that was named "patient zero" by the medical fraternity.
It's called the Jimmy because Jimmex did it with myself, the Mystery Rider, and a buddy of mine, Jorge in a thick fog and rain that got even thicker on the return after we left Jimmy in Guadalupe Victoria. Hopefully, your visit will coincide with the presence of the Mystery Rider. Guaranteed fun. LOL!
