Hungry Riders Headed South
Greetings ADV riders!
My wife and I have had our honeymoon delayed long enough so we decided to turn it into a 6 month motorcycle trip riding south through Mexico, Central and South America. My wife is an internet television producer and we also decided to film it and turn it into a web series. We will mostly focus on video but we will also include pictures and updates. We will be covering not just motorcycles but regional food, travel and even volunteering along the way. We just posted our first episode on trip preparation so check it out below! Let us know what you think or suggestions for us along the way. More info on us and our trip at hungryriders.com

Keep an eye out for something new, something that hasn't been ridden before or at least not ridden very much.
Some parts of Mexico have been covered very, very well while other areas go largely unridden and unknown. |

Hungry Riders Ep 3: Arizona’s Vortexes, Cowboy Grub and The Fastest Bike Ever
Episode third is up highlighting some of the great times we had in Arizona. We try to “feel” a vortex, eat some cowboy food, taste some Arizona wine, experience a rodeo, and top it all off with something we have never ridden before. Next we head into Mexico!

Hungry Riders Ep 4: Northen Mexico’s Desert Desserts and a Delayed Delivery
We finally got some "real" riding in as we head into Copper Canyon. Lots of people go to Copper Canyon for the dirt but the roads were actually excellent.
In episode 4, we cross our first international border into Mexico. We discover the regional treat of Coyotas, go to the beach, then head into the mountains where we try to deliver a 50 year old package to a Tarahumara family.

Episode 5
Hey ADV, this episode should be right up your alley since there is some actual adventure riding. We get a bit lost trying to make it to Batopilas in Copper Canyon, eat some Tarahumara food, and make our way through some colonial cities.

Yeah--when you get to Colombia you are going to want to stay a very long time. And you can dedicate an entire segment each to bandeja paisa, arepas con chocolo, sancocho and salpicon.
Let me know if you need any assistance along the way. I have friends and contacts scattered throughout Mexico, Central, and South America. I'll be down there myself next month to resume my ride south, picking up my bike in Medellín and heading into Ecuador, and then on to Peru. Perhaps our paths will cross. Ride safe, hermanos! ![]()

Thanks for the suggestions, that is the kind of food tip we are looking for!
We just crossed into Belize after a little over 6 weeks in Mexico. You guys are right about it taking a little bit longer, everywhere we have been we have said "Lets stay an extra day or two". We have never left a place early. We will look you up once we are closer to your riding area. Quote:

On this episode, we’ll show you the right way to taste tequila, get up close and personal with some luchadors, and ride underneath a city.
