Cheers guys. Tie wraps and elaccy bands sounds like a plan, keep it simple is the order of the day.

Tell you what though, I'm sure I remember talking to Pyndon and he was saying they (KTM) do some kind of bracket you buy as an extra?

Cheers.

some shitty pics I found

I think you are talking about something like the one seen in the picture. It doesnt seem like something special, just a piece of sheet metal bended to accomodate the leatherman...

640 Armageddon, thats the exact image that caught my eye when it first went up on here! So is that a KTM part? I think Pyndon was saying it is available from KTM?

Thanks.

Nice one Jack ! I have seen these lights in action and boy, they are bright !! ... Way expensime for my wallet though...

Anyways, back to the Leatherman subject, had a look in the KTM spare parts and it does not seem like an original spare part.

Look here if you need more info (may be I am blind or something )
http://www.cheapcycleparts.com/model...ts-lock-system

It would be quite easy to manufacture sth like that and if I had to guess I would think it is a 'z' shape sheet metal bended at 90 degrees at each end. The top end is what you see in the picture and the bottom 90 degree bend goes into a slot in order for the leatherman case not to fall down. The thing is probably bollted onto the tower ...

My 2 c ...

Hi all,

I guess this is the place to ask the question. I am building a custom fairing/lights setup for my WR250R which is an alloy frame. My question is, what is the best/easiest way of fixing the mounting block to the steering head?

Thanks!

hey beechum,

I saw the video that you have uploaded and was amazed. I have ordered two 60's and two 30's (two spot and two wides that is ... ) and would like to ask you if you have any comments regarding the the light output compared to HID's.

You have by the way one of the nicest setups i have seen .. The layout rockS !

oh, ok, The plan was to run the 4 of them since the wattage is really low (80 Watts for all of them) but if i see that the light output is not enough I will take one out and put back on the HID high beam on the bike ... Consumption will raise to say 90 Watts but it will cook everything on sight

There are a couple of options, weldign is one but you risk distorting your steering head bearing bores etc. I have see a few people bolt on a block of aluminium through the front of the steering head, you need to remove your steering stem so you can put nuts on the backs fo the bolts. I think there may be pics of this a few pages back.
