Seriously? LINK Click the link Otherwise, I just used the search function on the forum to search for continental divide trail. Thing is, you've got to spell everything correctly, unlike the Google search. ADV Search

Yes. If you are trying to search just bikes, say I'm looking for a vstrom for sale, this is what the search would look like. site:www.advrider.com "ADVrider > Gear > Flea market > Bikes" v strom The quotation marks are important because it forces google to search for that exact phrase, which is shown at the top of all posts in the bikes section of the flea market, effectively limiting the search to only posts with that at the top.

XL 600r
Sorry if I'm not doing this right, I really don't know what i'm doing on a computer (mostly guessing) but anyway. Im looking for a speedometer for my XL600r it is a 1983 and Honda has discontinued making them. I am in need of the plastic that covers it or the whole thing if it doesn't come apart. I have tried to take it apart but cannot get it apart. Can someone please help me?

This Google search thing is funky.
I tried using the "inurl" command to narrow my search to a specific forum, and I get some results, but something isn't quite right. For example, I searched the Parts forum for "dr650" using the inurl:"f=53", and got back 8 results. Seems like there should be more results, but that's a different issue. What bugs me is I click the resulting link on Google and it takes me to page 2 of the Parts forum, where the resulting topic should be... and it isn't there. Google does show other information for the topic, such as who posted it. This allows me to search Inmates for the forum member and check their recent posts, which then refers me back to Google. Ugh. Is there a better way?

There's actually some useful stuff in this thread, but it is mixed in with useless and erroneous 'tips'.
It would sure be nice if someone would clean this up, provide usable google search techniques (not just fill out a screen, but things that work from the search field in a browser), and post it as a sticky.

That's a good idea. Your idea, your task and then contact a mod and I'm sure it would be possible for them to stickie your new thread.
