My other Suzuki...
I always wanted one of these as a kid and finally got one last winter. It was in rough shape when I got it but, now, it looks and rides pretty good.

Just caught this thread and enjoyed seeing all the Suzuki pics. I've had Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, and Bultaco over the years, but have ended up being a real Suzuki lover. Currently have a DR350, DR650, and a '96 Intruder that will probably get sold since I've never learned to love the cruiser riding position.
Here's my first Suzuki. I still have it. It still thrills me, and I still love riding it! ![]() Miles and miles of smiles on my '99 DR350 ![]() ![]() Here's my '03 DR650, bought and then sold to downsize to the DR350 for better off road, but really missed! ![]() The Big DR took me on many a Big Adventure. ![]() Pics of my '99 DR350 when I bought it. ![]() ![]() Had both the 650 and the 350 for a while before I sold the 650. ![]() I REALLY missed the DR650. Had a KLR650 for a while and it was fun, but never really bonded. Got a chance to sell it and I went looking for another DR650 to replace it and found a nice '09 with only 500 miles. Here she is loaded on the trailer for the trip home to Georgia from Mississippi. ![]() and alongside her "sister" on our first ride together after finding another white '09 for my riding buddy (seen above with our two DR350s). ![]() Steve and I have ended up with two DR650s after many miles and many smiles riding the DR350s. Steve's DR350 has been sold to our other riding buddy, John, but I'm hanging on to my DR350 for a while yet since it doesn't cost a lot to own and I'll still use it for the really rough offroad rides and keep the DR650 for big adventure rides for now. One really crazy thing about the two DR650s. I drove to Tupelo MS to get mine in July and then we drove to Charlotte NC in August to get Steves. Recently I had mine in Steves garage for a few days while we were doing some maintenance. Steve called me and said he was looking at the VIN number plates on the two bikes and discovered that they were probably built the same day! What are the chances that we would buy 2 bikes, 2 years after they were manufactured, from 2 different 2nd owners in 2 different states and end up with VIN numbers just 5 apart! The engines are just 3 numbers apart. Our bikes are definately soul sisters, kissin' kousins, practically twins, and most likely my bike followed Steve's down the assembly line the same day! This summer I bought a Bass Hunter, (a 10' rotationally molded pontoon style pond boat) and wanted to get a small outboard motor for it. Guess what I bought! Suzuki DF4

Ah, suzie
My first bike was a 75 suzuki TS185. I beat the thing to death, but It would just start right up and keep on going. Crack in the case? JB weld it, it'll hold for another couple hundred miles. That bike was invincible. Then I got the 650. Never has left me stranded, ever. The only weak point I've ever found is the cam chain tensioner gasket. change the oil, put gas in it, and ride nonstop. Cheap, fun, and reliable :)
Also, add a skidplate to the big DR, it needs it haha

a real partner
My favorite, cause she has 77112 miles on her without incident in 3 years. It's an 09......
![]() ![]() ![]() And she hauls all my crap without complaint. ![]() I was writing a ride report for our latest trip and got a lot of pm's with questions about maintenance. Some saying that's a lot of miles for a bike without major breakdown. There were 4 in the store when I picked her up. Guess I picked the right one.I expect to reach 100000 by spring and buy a new one. If she breaks down by then. ass river
