Had to do most of that to fit the 140 into my ct70 clone.
I keep hearing something about a adaptor needed for this swap into a postie style bike. I see the engines are a little different from the monkey style bike engines. Where does the adaptor go? Looks like I need to get the chainsaw out.......... I need to get this little bike.. |

Go to www.dratv.com/ct.html to see what it takes to drop a Lifan into a CT-90. By the way the earlier (around '67 and back) CT-90's that used the pushrod engines are easy bolt together projects for the modern Chinese motors. I just missed out on a potential unit on eBay that went for $51.50 in southern Illinois. Hopefully someone here was the lucky bidder.

First ride of the season...GWNF in Va.
With the fantastic weather holding for the weekend...grabbed the CT90 and went for a one nighter up in the Geo. Washington National Forest near Camp Roosevelt (Fort Valley), Va.
Below is as I recall on Moreland Gap Road/RT730 near Chrisman Hollow & Fort Valley Road: ![]() On top of the mountain...from FVR, Shenandoah River below: ![]() Leaving the park...having the cap on the truck makes overnighting very comfortable. The hitch carrier works great with the CT90 or KLR: ![]() Anyone else running out here with the CT? There are miles of gravel & paved roads, places to camp and very little traffic...perfect for the CT. I do have Va. tags and the spark arrestor on it...so no legal issues.

Otay Mountain
Otay Mountain in San Diego!
My first ride with my CT110. This bike is perfect. Low gear works great and for my height the riding position is ver comfy. Got to the top of the mountain with no problem. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

No affiliation, but here's an epic adventure for two just waiting in Utah. I'd love to do the TAT with my brother and ride these from there to NY with these.

I'm going to look at a 1970 Trail 90 this afternoon. It's got 2K miles on it looks real clean in the pics. I'm taking cash with me. He's asking $800 OBO, figured if it looks and runs good I'd offer $650-$700. The guy has only had it for a few weeks, buys, fixes and sells. He's got 2 other ones that he's working on but not in as good of shape.
Does that sound like a good price if it's running well and looking clean? I'd post a link to the ad but I don't want some other inmate getting there first...obviously I'm taking a chance just posting this. |

I think it's a reasonable price. Between now and January is the best time to buy a used motorcycle and worst time to sell.

http://binghamton.craigslist.org/mcy/3344720601.html I stole a Sprint from a guy outta state a few years ago when he posted on another forum asking for advice. He didn't link the ad but did give enough specifics that I was able to find it easily. I called and had a deposit before that other guy even talked to the seller. ![]() Note: Bike was a no go, needed too much work. Corn field run
The harvest is over and the rain is falling, I put on my Carhartt rain coat and took to riding corn field and tails.
I see deer tracks but did not see deer as they must be bedded down in the timber and brush. ![]()
