One of the most interesting sidecars I've ever seen... yes, it's 2 wheel drive...

This is Clyde who started life as a 2003 Ural Bavarian Classic. He was the last Ural sold by the Mitubishi Dealer San Rafeal, Ca. who decided not to continue selling Urals after 2003. I've known Clydes Owner since he was new. I bought him last October from the orignal owner with a non-running engine and 11,000 original km. It turned out he had a twisted crank, probably from a hydrolic locked engine. I had Ski at TriQuest rebuild the engine with 2011 upgraded parts. Everything but the case was replaced. (New heads, jugs, pistons, crank, herzog gears, Denso Alternator, new Starter & Flywhee, new mufflers and headers) I repainted the him Sahara Tan and put a Black Army Star on the nose of the sidecar. I installed a Tool Box Tank and had the interior of the sidecar LineX coated. The speedo quit within 200 kms of the rebuild so I also installed a new Speedo. It now has 3700 kms on the new engine and speedo since the rebuild and is the best running Ural I've ever had. I want $6500 for Clyde which is less then I have in him. I'm only selling him to buy a New M70 Retro. I've attended 3 rallys with Clyde since February and he performed flawlessly. The Brass Monkey in Yuma, Az. The Sour Rally in Bandon, Oregon. The National Sidecar Rally in Cour d'Alane, Idaho. Clyde is located in Bodega Bay California and was originally owned by a Santa Rosa, Resident. He's always been a California bike. Since Clyde was a Bavarian Classic he has telescopic fork therefore can be also ridden as a Solo Bike.

Velorex 562 setup posted in FM

Don't know if this is frowned upon/against the rules, but thought I'd post it here so people interested in hacks would see it. Just put up an ad in the Parts section of Flea Market for my Velorex 562 rig: http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=812756

I think that this is what this thread is for, at least partially. Flea Market stuff stays on page one for about 10 minutes unless somebody bumps it up. The PO is only allowed one bump every 5 days, so sidecar stuff gets buried fast. This thread is a great place to give us a heads up for sidecars, sidecar parts, and complete rigs. The title of the thread says it all-- "For Sale" "eBay" & "Craigslist".

I'd love it, but no $$ and no room. I was mostly wondering WHY it was still for sale. Seems like a steal!

What should such a Rig fo for $$$...?

Do not know if I am allowed to ask this question on Fleabay ?...

I am thinking of moving on..looking for a 2003 VW EuroVan Camper so that the entire family; Dog; wife and me can continue traveling throughout the USA and Canada. Have done that been there and am ready to let go!

So here if you could chime in..what would such a rig go for: 2005 1200GS/DMC Enduro sidecar with lots of accessories to be mentioned later...1200GS has 71,000+ flawless miles.

Cheers...

I'm somewhat local, so I'll pick up your BMW rig and take it to my place. I'll keep it clean and keep the engine running while you go buy a VW van. Once you get bored with the van in about six months, I'll have the BMW rig ready to go for you. I'll offer this service at absolutely no charge for a fellow inmate.

I have always loved you rig.

The right buyer would probably pay in the high teens for it. Maybe $14 - 15k for a quick Ebay sale. Recent GS1150's hacked similarly but in a more conservative color and lower miles have brought in the $11's on eBay.

I would guess you have well over $20k in it.

Good luck. Enjoy your future travels in a class "B" RV
