I have a 6 year old one that is still cranking fine in my diesel Benz. It recently started right up after nearly a year of sitting.

fine but walmart sucks
batteries really are made in a couple plants and re-labeled.
I like autozone just because so many stores around , if I have trouble on the road they back up batteries w/no hassle just like sears does. Really not a lot of difference , read label to see who makes it. Buy it and drive. 800cca is plenty of cranking power for anything, 500 and above works, the 800 is a good rating. |

Wallys batteries are very good quality. And return policy rocks but you won't need it unless you have a charging or other problem.

You may need to return them a couple of times to get a good one. That has been my experience. I use them because there are Wally's everywhere. I used to use Sears for the same reason. The old Die Hard was better. The cheaper Die Easy lived up to it's name and the Try Hard did try hard but didn't cut it.

die hard coolers
I got one of these.
I think they are neat. My advice, sell the car, buy a die hard cooler and a nice pair of sneakers, maybe some beef jerky or slim jims. Walk instead of drive w/this cooler.

I've had 4 over the years in various cars/trucks over the years only one that died prior to 5 years (it died in 4). They are decent quality and like other's have said Wally worlds are everywhere.

I have rolled through a few in 4 wheelers and motorcycles; the little ones never seem to last that long! The one out my MR2 race car was pulled after decommissioning and is now in a friend's 4 Runner; still going strong!
Results = mixed bag here. How about Costco?

I saw a Consumer Reports test on batteries, and like DougfromIndy says, there's only a few manufacturers.
Walmart uses Johnson Controls. The other major is Exide. I haven't bought the "Maxx", but have used Walmart's car batteries for over 20 years with good results - I always get more than 6 years out of them. The AGM bike battery was a piece of crap. If it were my Jeep, I'd get the regular Wally battery and pass on "Maxx". |

they are fine but look at the date they are made before you buy it. if it's more then 3 months don't get it. i get them from our local Orillys because they sale more and there batterys are never over 2 months old. the longer they sit on the shelf the less likely they are to last for very long.

Both my car and truck have Walmart batteries and I've had no problems with either. I've had to return 2 Costco batteries under warranty.

I have Wally World Maxx batteries in my truck (it takes two), and one of my bikes. Decent price, North American made, and very reliable. My only reservation is having to walk in to Wally World... Lol.

Seem to work better than the (more expensive) Champion ones for sale at walmart.
Keep your reciept.
