From one stumpy to another
Glad to see you are up and still riding. I lost my right leg to a person that pulled out in front of me. I have about 8 inches of leg left. The crash also made me a paraplegic so my riding days are over. I appreciate your courage and your story!!
Ride on brother!!! Terry

God works in mysterious ways. Your story is unbelievable! You, sir, have my ultimate respect. I'll try to remember this the next time I am bitching and moaning about my back aches...
Just a quick question...did you have the same screen name prior to the accident? |

HOLY SHIT!
![]() That was a truly gruesome accident, and your wherewithall to save your own skin truly remarkable. Goon on ya! I hope I can maintain the same clarity of mind if something similar ever occurs. God I hope not... You are also to be commended for your non-retributional attitude; though I don't think I could do that. Not necessarily an eye-for-an-eye; although I'll bet if that were the penalty folks would drive a hell of a lot better than they do... Decisions have consequences. Her actions REALLY altered your life; in what kind of fecked up world can there be no consequences for her??? Over here, even if the b!tch was sentenced to a week on home restriction and loss of her library card for 30 days, you can still file a civil suit. As she currently has no assets, there would probably not be much of a defense rendered. And you will prolly never see a cent (make that a lb.. At any rate, good luck to you sir. Glad to see you are back on a bike. You are definitely a survivor.

Thank you for sharing, what an encouragement!
I had the honor of helping with the delivery of this bike to the AMA hall of fame... Read "Riding the Edge" and "Riding the Ice", you have a kindred spirit with Dave Barr. |

You are truly inspirational. As with many others, it's hard to fathom exactly how i would be able to hold it together, let alone be able to take control in a situation like that. Good on ya for keeping on two wheels!
As per the girl, the worst retribution is that which we take out on ourselves, this will eat at her till the ends of her days even more so that she got away with it. Youve still a long fruitful life with a beautiful wife ahead of you, looks like youve already started in the right direction |
