Hey Cuss, great looking bike. Perhaps you can answer a question I posted on the previous page with a very similar looking tenere
"Great looking bike. How tall are you & how do you find the Kahedo +4cm seat?
Cheers"

I am just getting on for 6ft with a 32/3ish inseam and the seat at the moment is very hard as it's only been on for a about 150 miles but is feeling a little better each time my fat ass gets on it! hight wise am on tip toes at a stand still or just slide to the side to be more sure footed..would i change back to the original? No just feels right to me more room to move about without that hump getting in the way..hope this helps..

cheers cuss, hoping to sell my xtz750 and get a xt660z this year. I'm 6 foot and was looking at the kahedo seat as an upgrade.

Some questions?

Do you find a big difference(or any difference)with the screen spoiler you have fitted?....

Where did you get it from?

I'm 1.78m and find some wind noise getting to me

What helmet cam are you using?

Thanks for any info.

.

HI there , for me it made a huge difference , I'm 1.91 m . but now with the higher seat the effect is a little bit less , but I left it on , it's the lockable touratech one ...

without it and the standard seat it makes a huge difference , still lot's of turbulence , but less then without it ...

I use the gopro HD .

You guys make me hate this thread, knowing that it is very unlikely I will ever have the chance to buy one of these bikes.

Added some extra yellow. The engine bars needed to come off as the front bracket had cracked in the usual place. I have re-welded it and added some extra strength to the front bracket and re-painted them.

Thanks Phil.

My 'plate tells you what year the bike is

The cracked bracket is on the engine bars.

On this pic if you look between the two header pipes you can see a silver bolt head and running from that is the bracket that is attached to the bars. The bracket is gusseted but on the other side the gusset stops to low down the bracket that then snaps just above where the gusset stops. It's a know fault on early bars, I think that the later ones have been re-designed.

Yamaha never redesigned them, just delisted the engine bars in the accessories catalogue. There's lots of aftermarket options around now though.

Mine cracked ages ago, still haven't got round to taking them off to weld up. They still work, just wobble a bit.

I may well take you up on that; I have ridden in the Mountains around Marbella (in fact, my avatar was taken there), but have yet to go to Alicante, although I have an open invite to use a friend's house there. I might ride over from the UK, stay there and then give you a shout to see where the riding is. :)

Thats sounds good. If you tell me with a few time before we can make a good track to share with you and ride together. Here we usually doing full day routes or weekend routes with camp.

When you know the days, let me know by mail or in our regional forum "Motos Trail Murcia" and ask for ignitionpoint.
