I'll play along when I can.

Why no love for the outer banks? Who here has a motorcyle that can't cross a bridge or ride a ferry? With "water" being the boundary that cuts off a lot of NC beachesand towns that are not considered the outer banks that can't be reached without crossing water.

You might want to edit the first post to read that water is the eastern boundary before Flash drops it off somewhere in the Pacific northwest.

I think fish is right, we should include the beaches. Might bring out some sandfleas. And numbers keep the tags apart from the fluff pics

I agree...my idea is that the western boundary be I95 and include all of the barrier islands too...but others say its a dead zone...myself I dont like riding over open water so I'm not likely to get to the outer banks...

Not riding across a bridge is a software problem not a hardware problem.

If the current tag sets until morning I may head after it.

Perfectly legal. That isn't my Ural in the Tag photo. That's MrsDonkeys' Ural, and she won't let me forget that either. I just get to borrow it occasionally.

OBX are in now. I'm still a little concerned about that eastern boundary though.

We could just do Richmond, Moore, Chatham, Orange, and Person counties to the West, and the Atlantic to the East. That would give us some of the Northern ground which is currently uncovered, and keep us out of NCNC turf.

Thoughts?

From NCNC-land to the coast sounds great.

I guess it is safe to say this tag isn't moving this morning. Lovely weather we are having!

Grabbed in the rain with a little thunder and lightning thrown in for good measure. I left the shop this morning with a cloudy sky and the rain started almost as soon as I left the driveway. Rode my step-dad's Honda Ace that is now mine to grab the tag. It has not been on the road in over two years. Even after 85 miles today the bike is still running rough. Going to have to look into this on a less rainy day.

House in the Horseshoe aka The Alston House http://www.nchistoricsites.org/horsesho/horsesho.htm

Personal tag histoy lesson for today. This is the first tag I ever placed in the NC TOR game. I placed it with the same bike over three years ago. Last year on the same day my step-dad passed away DEPARKER1817 placed the NC TOR tag back at the same location. Lots and lots of memories of that place and of the man who introduced me to the joy of seeing the world from two wheels.

I had a different place in mind for my tag placement but the rain and a rough running bike made me pick a spot close to home with a lot of history.

Eastern NC TOR tag #2 can be found in a county that was formed in 1779 and named after the first president of the Continental Congress. I think you will find everything you need to find the tag in the clue pic. It has always amazed me that what 16 people started here in 1755 led to the creation of over 1,000 churches in less than 75 years.
