Maybe so. (Shrug shoulders)

I bought it, I restored it, and I'm going to put it on display in my shop office. That's all there is to it. It's full of fluids except for gas. It would start and run if I put gas in it. That's all I need to know.

If I never intended to ride it, I wouldn't start it either. It's a perfect piece of art.

This is one of the best resto projects i have seen in a long time. You should put it in the living room in a glass case!. I am in the process of restoring my 1983 tt600 but i dought i can make it look like this beauty, I am too young (not enough experience).

I did the same thing years ago but nowhere near the caliber of yours, it's beautiful. If you had intended to ride it, a one inch plug in the swing arm does wonders to slow down the handling, keep it going straight in the ruts, and helps keep the front wheel on the ground.

Stumbled upon this thread. Beautiful bike. Any luck getting the emblems on the tank. I would love to see it complete.....but it's oh so close and is looking great.

Glad you enjoyed the build. I'm still working on the tank emblem deal. They're 150 dollars and I haven't been able to earmark the cash for them yet.

I couldn't do it. I just couldn't.

I would HAVE to ride it at least once, as pristine & beautiful as it is.

Thanks for resto primer; a buddy has an AT-1 he wants to redo & this thread has been quite motivational.

This bike was in Motorcycle Classics magazine a few months ago, wasn't it? Nice!

Also kudos to the builder of the project this thread's about. Nothing short of a beauty.
