KTM 950/990 Adv UNDERSEAT TANK
I do long distance travel and some extra tank w/o any mods was missing on the market, so I decided to do one.
It fits to 950 or 990 Adventure without ABS and the only mod you need to do, is cut the underseat box and link the underseat tank to the main tanks. It has petcock, so you can close it and keep it as a reserve. You fit there 6,3 liters of petrol. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I can produce some, if anyone is interested. cheers:-)

Just curious but why not replace the existing subframe with your tank. You obviously are a talented fabricator/welder. Instead of making your tank fit the subframe couldn't you have made your tank the subframe?

That's amazing!
Looks like it would work in conjunction with the side-mounted ADV tank too...

Amazing job - just some great skills in fabb'ing that. I think a good idea about the sub-frame - if you have the skills to make that you could potentially create the whole subframe-incorporating the tank to suit?
Great job though

Im looking at a solution with tank welded onto the subframe, but its quite far away, the dream would be a solution with fuel on the right side covering the muffler and a storage on the left side (2-1 system) and be able to keep stock under seat tool box.
Have scored 2 extra cheap subframes (one was a write off from a crashed bike so need to see if its still straight) the other should be fine. Actually have a subframe in my apartment and have plans on starting to make some drawings on my dreams, will probably be around here asking for help about material thickness and similar. But right now Im running a fever and have a hard time sleeping so drinking a little whiskey to kill some germs! /Johan |

Great fab skills.
![]() Has there been a lot of testing?? It seams possible that pipe temps might cause an issue with fuel expansion??
