Great report and photos!
Medusa's is our favorite here in Cambria! The Ridge Road is a great local ride - Search youtube for "xr650l california coast hills" for a fun video of the trail.

I rode up Saturday morning to meet the guys at Crab Flats by way of SR-330:
![]() Joel making sure everyone is ready to go: ![]() We ended up on a narrow trail off of 2N08 where we were stopped by a closed gate and had to turn around: I nailed a mud hole at speed : ![]() NSFW and FYYFF (Joel and Erisin): ![]() Sopascat (Cathy), Tom (?), and Aheadofu! (Jim) at Aztecas. Jim is savoring that Bud  : ![]() Fudgypup ready to roll: ![]() NSFW and Slugdad (Bill) not quite ready ready to roll: ![]() Ersin taking pix: ![]() Bill going through the water crossing at Crab Creek. That shit was deep: ![]() Eric doing the same. I've got a video: ![]() Sunday, Slugdad and I left ahead of the others. Since we were heading to OC, we slabbed it down SR-18: ![]() I remember going down a trail with Jim and found the trail head off of SR-18. Soon we were treated to a view of San Bernardino: ![]() Turns out the trail is 2N40. It was loose and rocky in places and felt narrow. I was going way too slow up a hill and I lost the front tire in a rutt and dumped the KLR :( Bill has pix.

Joel honestly, you are the last person I would have thought would actually do secret rides. And rich, bailing on your own planned trip to Kennedy meadows because razr was going? Nice pics glad it was fun.

I was trying to maintain tradition and not skip a year. My son was still expecting to go camping so I slapped together a local big bear ride where cell service is just about everywhere. BTW, I had 4G internet several miles east of camp and was able to complete my conference call. Anyways, the KM ride looks like it was fun, as always. Wish I was there, but priorities come first. |

No hard feelings. Just something I feel should be adressed. It's just lame that big rides need to be hidden because of what a few post on these boards. I was under the impression that most of the bullshit ends when people gather for a ride and meet in person, shake hands and shoot the shit and actually ride.Regardless of what gets typed up sometimes. FYI, ride Sunday, meet 15 and 138. 2 dr650s so far.
